Vitor Matos says rival clubs are interested in Swansea City striker Zan Vipotnik – but insists that is "normal" given the striker's form this season.

Zan Vipotnik's red-hot form for Swansea City is turning heads across Europe, with head coach Vitor Matos acknowledging rival clubs are showing interest in his star striker. The Slovenian forward has been a revelation this season, leading the Championship scoring charts with an impressive 21 goals in 40 league games.

His prolific campaign, which also includes crucial strikes for his national team, has reportedly put him on the radar of Portuguese giants like Sporting and Benfica, reigniting speculation that began last summer. Matos, however, remains unfazed, calling the attention "normal" for a player in such devastating form.

"He's a good player scoring goals so I believe there's interest from other clubs, that's normal," said the Swansea boss. He emphasized that the club's focus remains firmly on the pitch, with Vipotnik training well and the squad preparing for their crucial upcoming match against Southampton.

This marks a dramatic turnaround for the 24-year-old, who managed just seven goals in his debut season after joining from Bordeaux. His explosive performance this year has made him one of the most valuable assets in the second tier, a fact Swansea secured by tying him to a new long-term contract last month.

While Matos admits it would take "proper money" to pry Vipotnik away from the Welsh club, he insists the player is happy and focused on helping Swansea achieve their immediate goals. For now, the transfer talk is just background noise to a striker who is letting his goals do all the talking.
