As per Pedulla’s website, the connection between Alisson and Luciano Spalletti is a significant factor in the pursuit.
The Juventus head coach worked with the shot-stopper during his time at Roma and knows his qualities intimately, placing him at the top of a shortlist that has included several other names in recent weeks. Spalletti’s personal endorsement has given the move considerable momentum.
Liverpool’s position has also created an opening for Juventus to exploit.

The Merseyside club recently extended Alisson’s contract by a further season to avoid losing him for nothing, but their long-term goalkeeping succession plan centres on Georgian international Giorgi Mamardashvili, who is expected to eventually take over as first choice.
That dynamic has effectively placed Alisson in a transitional position at Anfield, one he is understood to be prepared to move on from.
With Alisson’s personal approval secured, Juventus are now set to open formal dialogue with Liverpool in the coming days to negotiate the terms of a transfer.
The deal being discussed would see the Brazilian sign either a two-year contract with an option for a third year, or a straight three-year deal. Either structure would represent a serious long-term commitment from Juventus, and a statement of intent about the calibre of player they intend to bring to the club this summer.
