Illinois junior Andrej Stojaković reportedly declared for the 2026 NBA draft ahead of the early entry deadline on Friday, according to Jeff Borzello of ESPN.

Stojaković averaged 13.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and one assist while shooting 50% from the field in 34 games this past season, including 21 starts. He registered eight 20-point performances, including a season-high 30 points and nine rebounds on Jan. 21.

The 6-foot-7 forward played a crucial role in helping the Fighting Illini advance to their first Final Four appearance since 2005, earning an All-South Region team selection. He had a tournament-high 21 points in their second-round win over VCU.

NEWS: Illinois' Andrej Stojakovic has entered his name into the NBA draft, sources told ESPN, leaving open the option to return to the Fighting Illini. He was an All-Region selection during Illinois' run to the Final Four.

Stojaković initially announced earlier this month that he planned on returning to Illinois for his senior year, but the 21-year-old has now opted to test the predraft process. Prospects who declare as early entrants have until May 27 to withdraw from the draft.

The son of former 3-time All-Star Peja Stojaković isn't currently projected to be drafted. He likely elected to declare to gain feedback on his game and overall ability from team executives and coaches, with the intention of returning to school.

While the Fighting Illini await his decision, other key players, like David Mirković, Tomislav Ivisić and Zvonimir Ivisić, have already announced their returns for next season. The group will likely be among the title front-runners if Stojaković opts to forgo the draft.
