Veteran outfielder Tommy Pham is adding another chapter to his well-traveled MLB career, reportedly signing a minor league contract with the Baltimore Orioles—a move that keeps him firmly within the AL East rivalry circuit.

The 38-year-old, who suited up for the Boston Red Sox during the 2022 season, is looking to bring his experience to a Baltimore squad that has struggled to find consistent production from its right fielders. According to ESPN's Alden Gonzalez, Pham will aim to earn a spot on the Orioles' roster after a brief stint with the New York Mets earlier this year.

Pham's time in Boston was a mixed bag: over 53 games and 235 plate appearances, he posted six home runs, 24 RBIs, and a .234/.298/.374 slash line. The Red Sox acquired him via trade from the Cincinnati Reds on August 1, 2022, adding a veteran presence to their outfield mix.

But Pham's journey through the majors has been anything but linear. Over 13 seasons, he has appeared for 10 different teams, including a notable stretch with the Tampa Bay Rays (2018-2019) and his early career with the St. Louis Cardinals, where he spent over four seasons establishing himself as a reliable bat.

Most recently, Pham signed a minor league deal with the Mets in late March, was called up in April, but went 0-for-13 in nine games before being designated for assignment. Now, he's hoping a fresh start in Baltimore can reignite his career and provide a spark for an Orioles team eyeing postseason contention.

For fans who remember his power at Fenway or his grit in the clubhouse, this signing is a reminder of how baseball's veteran grinders keep finding ways to compete. Whether Pham can crack the Orioles' roster and make an impact remains to be seen, but his resilience is undeniable.
