The summer transfer window is heating up, and reports from Italy suggest that Chelsea are ready to enter the race for AC Milan's standout defender, Strahinja Pavlovic. The Serbian international has been turning heads with his commanding performances in Serie A, and it looks like a Premier League move could be on the horizon.

Pavlovic joined Milan from RB Salzburg in the summer of 2024 for a fee of €18m plus add-ons. After a patient start to life in San Siro, the 25-year-old has become a regular starter this season, racking up four goals and an assist in 31 Serie A appearances. His physical presence and composure on the ball from the left side of Milan's back three have made him a key asset for the Rossoneri.

According to Calciomercato, Chelsea are the most eager suitors, but they face competition from Manchester United and several Saudi Pro League clubs. The Blues are reportedly looking to strengthen their defensive options this summer and see Pavlovic as an ideal fit for their backline.

Milan are keen to keep their star defender for the 2026-27 campaign, but history shows they won't stand in the way of a lucrative offer—just ask Malick Thiaw, Tijjani Reijnders, or Sandro Tonali. The club has set an asking price of around €50m, a figure that shouldn't be a problem for Chelsea's deep pockets.

Interestingly, Chelsea are expected to offload Benoit Badiashile this summer, a player previously linked with Milan. However, the Rossoneri have no interest in a part-exchange deal. Instead, they're eyeing Lazio's Mario Gila as a potential replacement, and a Pavlovic sale could provide the funds to make that move happen.

For Chelsea fans, this is a name to watch closely as the transfer window approaches. Pavlovic's blend of defensive grit and goal-scoring ability could be exactly what the Blues need to shore up their squad for next season.
