Manchester City defender Nathan Aké could be heading to Italy this summer, as reports emerge that the Dutch international has been offered to Serie A giants Inter Milan. The move would reunite him with former City teammate Manuel Akanji, who is already making waves at the San Siro.

Inter are looking to overhaul their defense ahead of the new season, with several key players—including Francesco Acerbi, Matteo Darmian, and Stefan de Vrij—expected to depart. Even stalwarts like Alessandro Bastoni and Carlos Augusto are reportedly weighing their options, leaving the Nerazzurri in need of experienced reinforcements.

According to Italian outlet FCInterNews, transfer intermediaries have proposed Aké to Inter, working closely with the center-back's representatives. With his Manchester City contract running only until June 2027, the Premier League champions may be keen to cash in this summer rather than risk losing him on a free transfer down the line.

At 31 years old, Aké brings a wealth of experience—from his time at Chelsea, Watford, Reading, and Bournemouth, where City paid €45 million to sign him in 2020. He's also been linked with Bayer Leverkusen and Besiktas in recent months, but a move to Inter could offer a fresh challenge in one of Europe's top leagues.

Inter will be hoping Aké can replicate the impact of Akanji, who joined on loan last summer with an option to buy for €15 million—a fee that becomes mandatory if the club wins the Scudetto. With the title potentially secured this weekend, the Swiss international has proven to be a shrewd addition, and Aké could be the next defensive stalwart to thrive under the Italian spotlight.
