Boston Red Sox fans won't have to wait long to watch baseball this weekend.

Saturday's game against the Baltimore Orioles will start at 12:05 p.m. ET due to inclement weather in the forecast. The Orioles announced the change on Friday after consulting with MLB.

The Weather Channel forecasts rain in Baltimore on Saturday from 5 p.m. ET into Sunday morning. They'll look to beat the showers during a cloudy afternoon with an estimated temperature of 58 degrees.

The rain is currently expected to stop in plenty of time for Sunday's game at 1:35 p.m. ET. As long as Mother Nature cooperates, the Red Sox will have a chance to brighten a gloomy April.

Boston fell to 9-16 after scoring three combined runs in the New York Yankees' three-game sweep. The Red Sox are tied with the San Francisco Giants with an MLB-low 14 home runs, and no team is slugging below their .331.

Alex Cora and Co. won't want to lose more ground to another American League East competitor. The Orioles are third in the division behind the Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays at 12-13.

Saturday is an especially vital game for Boston, as Garrett Crochet takes the mound amid a nerve-wracking slump. The left-handed ace has allowed 16 hits and 16 runs in his last two starts, so the organization may feel drearier than the weather forecast if he doesn't deliver a bounce-back outing.

Baltimore will counter with its own struggling southpaw. Trevor Rogers has allowed nine runs in his last two outings after ceding four in his first three turns of the season.
