The talk of the early college basketball offseason has been Luke Loucks and the Florida State Seminoles as they’ve been steaming on the recruiting trail as of late. In Loucks' first season in Tallahassee, he led the Seminoles to an 18-15 record and finished the season on an 11-4 run.

Through the Noles heater in the second half of the season, Loucks was busy in the recruiting world as well, having landed a top-20 class made up of mainly four 4-Star prospects. Two of which are top-100 recruits according to On3.

The class also includes 3-Star point guard, Jasen Lopez, who is a dual sport athlete as a wide receiver under Mike Norvell. Lopez, being a dual sport athlete, joined the Seminoles basketball team in the middle of the 2025-26 season but did not see game action. JD Jones, the son of Phoenix Suns GM and NBA Champion James Jones, is also committed for next season.

Coach Loucks' heater did not end there as he hit the transfer portal running, landing commitments from four more 4-Star transfers as well. His portal commitments include:

Tallahassee State College guard Amare Robinson, the younger brother of Anthony Robinson II, will also be transferring to Florida State. The Robinson brothers are Tallahassee natives and attended Florida State University High School.

This marks Florida State’s best recruiting class since 2021, when they had the 14th-ranked class. They now sit with the 19th-ranked overall class and the third-best recruiting class in the ACC, only behind Duke and Miami.
