Here are the Upstate's high school girls standouts at the 2026 SCHSL track and field state championships in Columbia.

The 2026 SCHSL Track & Field State Championships brought the heat to Columbia from May 14-16, and the Upstate's finest girls athletes delivered performances that will be remembered for years. From photo-finish victories to dominant displays in the field events, here are the standouts who left it all on the track.

Rebecca Okebe (Dorman) – The Hurdles Queen
Okebe was nothing short of spectacular, sweeping both hurdle events. She clocked a 59.73 in the 400 meters and then delivered a heart-stopping 13.96 in the 100-meter hurdles—winning by just 0.01 seconds. In a sport where every millisecond counts, that's the definition of clutch.

Jordayn Ratliff (Dorman) – Triple Jump Champion
Ratliff soared to victory in the triple jump with a mark of 12.13 meters and added a runner-up finish in the 100 meters. Her versatility makes her one to watch in future meets.

Riley Vaughn (Spartanburg) – Throws Dominator
Vaughn put on a power display, winning the shot put (13.1 meters) and the discus (41.77 meters). In a sport where strength meets technique, Vaughn showed she has both in spades.

Other Upstate Stars Shine
Arriana Dooley (Mauldin) grabbed third in the 400 meters, while Olivia Parker (Spartanburg) took second in pole vault. Dorman's Jordayn Ratliff also earned a second-place finish in the 100 meters, proving the Upstate's depth in sprints and field events.

These athletes not only brought home medals but also reminded us why track and field is the ultimate test of speed, strength, and spirit. Whether you're hitting the track or just getting started, gear up like a champion—because every great performance starts with the right foundation.
