A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has emerged as a summer transfer target for Dutch heavyweights Ajax.
Former Arsenal man Ceballos is of course widely expected to bring a definitive close to the Real Madrid chapter of his career this summer.
Owing to a combination of fitness problems and competition for places, the 29-year-old has been afforded just four La Liga starts across the entirety of the campaign.
With Real Madrid tipped to strengthen in the middle of the park with a view to next season, Ceballos is therefore considered surplus to requirements.
Still held in high regard across the continent, the Spaniard is not expected to be at all short on suitors this summer.
And as alluded to above, this week, the identity of one such interested party has been revealed.
As per a report from market insider Fabrizio Romano:
‘Dani Ceballos, expected to leave Real Madrid this summer with clubs already in contact to plan proposals. Ajax and two more sides keen on Ceballos.’
