Real Madrid have made their stance crystal clear: if any club wants to sign backup striker Gonzalo Garcia this summer, they'll need to dig deep into their pockets. The Spanish giants are standing firm on a €60 million price tag for the young forward, despite his limited playing time this season.

This news comes amid growing interest from European clubs, including Borussia Dortmund and an unnamed Italian side that recently enquired about Garcia's availability. Real Madrid's response was straightforward—pay the asking price or look elsewhere. The club has no intention of letting their promising academy product leave on the cheap, even if his minutes have been scarce.

Garcia has managed just 615 minutes under manager Alvaro Arbeloa this season, scoring two goals. He hasn't started a league game since March 2nd and was notably absent from both Champions League ties against Manchester City and Bayern Munich. Most recently, with Kylian Mbappe sidelined, Arbeloa opted to bench Garcia for the clash against Espanyol, instead deploying Brahim Diaz and Vinicius Jr. as the striker partnership.

Despite the limited game time, Arbeloa has been publicly supportive of Garcia. "I know Gonzalo well; he has exceptional abilities. He's playing less than he deserves, but I see him working hard, and he has a great future ahead of him. When I've needed him, he's delivered," the coach said.

The situation is more structural than personal. Real Madrid are preparing to bring Endrick back from his loan at Lyon and hand him a prominent role as Mbappe's backup, as well as a right-wing option. This move would push Garcia even further down the pecking order, making a loan move or permanent exit increasingly likely this summer.

However, Real Madrid are in no rush to make a decision. The €60 million valuation sends a clear message: they value Garcia highly and won't be pressured into letting him go cheaply. For any club looking to add a talented young striker to their ranks, the ball is firmly in their court—and the price tag is non-negotiable.
