Real Madrid president Florentino Perez made headlines during a press conference announcing club elections, but notably sidestepped questions about the team's on-field struggles this season. In an unusual move, Perez spoke directly with the media for an hour but offered no explanation for what went wrong or who will replace manager Alvaro Arbeloa.

Instead, Perez revealed that Madrid is preparing a 500-page dossier on alleged refereeing bias for UEFA, claiming favoritism toward Barcelona due to the Negreira case. He also took aim at the press and downplayed last week's altercation between Aurelien Tchouameni and Fede Valverde, who were each fined €500,000.

"I've sacked three coaches in one year before — it's not the first time," Perez said. "And players fighting? That happens every season because they're competitive. The difference this year is someone talked about it for the first time, and we know who leaked it. But nobody has won seven European Cups like us."

Arbeloa had previously focused his criticism on the person who leaked the fight rather than the players involved. Perez echoed that sentiment, emphasizing that physical confrontations among teammates are nothing new at Valdebebas training ground.

"I think it's very wrong, and it's even worse that it was made public," Perez explained. "I've been here 26 years, and not a single year has passed without two or even four players having a scrap. They kick each other, get kicked back, and the next day they're friends again. Those who leaked it are unhappy and probably worried about losing their jobs. I won't allow the chaos some are trying to create. The leak is worse than the fight itself — it implies there's more to the story when really they're having coffee together the next day. In 26 years, I've never seen anything like this leak."
