True freshman Savion Hiter, a five-star recruit and the top-ranked running back in his class, is already turning heads and drawing rave reviews from teammates and coaches alike.

"He’s next level, I’m excited to watch him," said returning standout Jordan Marshall, who knows a thing or two about elite talent. That excitement is echoed by the coaching staff, who have been impressed by more than just Hiter's high school tape. Offensive coordinator Jason Beck highlighted the freshman's relentless motor, noting, "What I’ve been impressed with is just how hard he goes and competes in everything all the time... Hiter's pedigree is undeniable. In his final two high school seasons, he was a touchdown machine, racking up over 3,100 rushing yards and an eye-popping 51 scores while averaging more than 10 yards per carry. His explosive playmaking ability was also on display on special teams, where he returned five kickoffs for touchdowns.

Head coach Kyle Whittingham, who described Hiter as a "6-foot ball of muscle," has made it clear that playing time is earned, not given.
