Raynham's Brody Bumila made senior night one for the history books. The Bishop Feehan star pitcher—already projected as a first-round pick in the 2026 MLB Draft—delivered a performance that had everyone at Beach Field in Attleboro talking.
The 6-foot-9 left-hander tossed a complete-game no-hitter on Friday, striking out a program-record 20 batters in a 5-1 win over Moses Brown. It was his first full game of the spring, and he made every pitch count.
The only blemish? A leadoff batter who reached on a hit-by-pitch in the first inning, stole second and third, then scored on a passed ball. After that, Bumila locked in and retired every single batter he faced—and most of them went down swinging.
That 20-strikeout masterpiece broke a Shamrock record that had stood for 60 years, surpassing Mike Walsh's 19-strikeout performance from 1966. And in a special touch, Walsh was in attendance to witness the moment.
Bumila also contributed at the plate with a walk, while fellow seniors Andrew Shute (3-for-4, double, 2 RBIs) and Owen Mordas (2-for-3, triple, 2 RBIs) led the offensive charge.
On the season, Bumila now has 69 strikeouts in 27 innings while allowing just one unearned run. At the plate, he's hitting .286 with two doubles, two home runs, and 10 RBIs.
The win officially punched Feehan's ticket to the state tournament. The No. 2-ranked team in Division 1 (10-5) hosts Middleboro on Monday, then travels to Connecticut to face Putnam Science Academy on Wednesday before hosting Mansfield on Friday.
For a player who's already drawing serious MLB Draft buzz, this senior night was the perfect reminder of why scouts are watching so closely.
