Marcus Rashford is willing to take a significant salary cut to facilitate a permanent move to Barcelona.
Rashford signed for Barcelona on a season-long loan deal last summer with the Spanish side holding an option to sign the 28-year-old permanently for €30m (£26m).
Barcelona have been largely pleased with the performances of the England international, who has scored 13 goals in 45 appearances, but have reservations over a deal.
Rashford’s recent dip in performances during a crucial period of the season, and the fee involved for a player who turns 29 in October, have seen the Spanish champions stall on a deal.
However, Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Rashford is doing all he can to secure a permanent transfer to Camp Nou.
The winger has already agreed to a sizeable cut on the salary he earns at Manchester United, and is prepared to reduce those demands further.
Barcelona are yet to make a concrete decision on his future and are keen to re-negotiate a lower transfer fee with Manchester United. United, currently, are not willing to compromise on the original arrangement.
