The wheeling and dealing continues at breakneck pace for the Raiders. They acquired an additional fifth round pick in a trade that sends Tyree Wilson and a seventh round pick to New Orleans. With the pick, the Raiders snagged their third DB of this draft.

Not only is Johnson the second safety the Raiders have taken in this draft, he's the second one OUT OF ARIZONA. They have now drafted both Arizona safeties in this draft after selecting Johnson's teammate Treydan Stukes at 38 overall in the second round.

Johnson will forever to connected to Tyree Wilson as he was the player selected with the pick acquired in the trade. Wilson was a failed former number seven overall pick, while Johnson carries far less pressure as a fifth rounder.

While Stukes is more of a free safety, Johnson is more of a strong safety type. Like Stukes, Johnson posted four interceptions last season along with 11 pass breakups. Those coverage numbers were an extreme improvement from his previous years as a starter where he was simply known for his tackling.
