The Las Vegas Raiders have been one of the most active teams this offseason, and the newly released 2026 NFL schedule is loaded with what fans are calling "revenge games" for several key additions. With a fresh coaching staff led by Klint Kubiak and over $280 million spent in free agency, the Silver and Black have plenty of motivation to make a statement this year.

Let's start with the head coach himself. Kubiak's path to Las Vegas included a Super Bowl victory with the Seattle Seahawks, but don't think for a second that reunion won't carry extra weight. While the relationship ended amicably—Kubiak's success in Seattle helped him land this promotion—competitors have long memories. Beating the defending champions after taking over a team that finished at the bottom of the league would send a powerful message about his impact.

But the real fire might be reserved for a different opponent. Kubiak spent just one season as offensive coordinator for the New Orleans Saints before being let go when Kellen Moore took over as head coach. That kind of short tenure and abrupt exit tends to leave a mark. When the Raiders face the Saints, expect Kubiak to have a few extra pages in the playbook.

Speaking of Seattle, keep an eye on running back Zamir White. Drafted in the seventh round in 2022, White never got a real shot with the Seahawks—just 228 offensive snaps and seven targets over four seasons, mostly on special teams. While he's fighting for a roster spot in Las Vegas, if he makes the cut, you can bet he'll be running with a chip on his shoulder against his former team.

Then there's cornerback Taron Johnson. After eight productive years with the Buffalo Bills—including a second-team All-Pro nod in 2023—he was released as a salary cap casualty this spring. That's the kind of business decision that fuels a player for an entire season. When the Raiders line up against Buffalo, Johnson will have plenty of motivation to show the Bills what they let walk out the door.

These revenge narratives add an extra layer of intrigue to what's already shaping up to be a pivotal season for the Raiders. Whether it's proving a point, validating a career, or simply reminding an old team what they're missing, Las Vegas has plenty of players with something to prove. And in the NFL, that kind of motivation can be the difference between a good season and a great one.
