Jon Rahm birdied three of his last four holes Saturday for a 4-under 67 that gave him a one-shot lead over teammate Tyrrell Hatton in LIV Golf Mexico. Rahm will be going for his second win of the LIV Golf season after going winless in 2025. Hatton, his teammate on Legion XIII, had a 66.

Jon Rahm is in prime position to secure his second LIV Golf victory of the season. The Spanish star delivered a clutch performance Saturday at LIV Golf Mexico, birdieing three of his final four holes to card a 4-under 67 and seize a one-shot lead heading into the final round.

Rahm, who won earlier this year in Hong Kong, holds a narrow advantage over his Legion XIII teammate, Tyrrell Hatton. Hatton fired an impressive 66 to set up a dramatic Sunday pairing, marking the first time the two will be grouped together in a LIV final round.

"I don’t see the dynamic changing a lot, but I can imagine we’re going to be speaking a little bit less than we do normally just because of the situation we’re going to be in," Rahm said. "Down the stretch, no matter who we’re playing with, usually the conversations are very limited."

Both players have history at the Chapultepec course, adding another layer of intrigue. Rahm will be looking for redemption after a near-miss in the 2017 WGC event here, where a late stumble cost him a chance to chase down Dustin Johnson. Hatton also has a score to settle, having bogeyed the 72nd hole in the 2018 WGC at Chapultepec to miss a playoff with Phil Mickelson.

"I guess I’ve proved in the past that I can play well around this golf course," Hatton remarked. "It didn’t work out for me on the 18th hole... but hopefully the bounces will be on my side tomorrow."

Just behind the leading duo, Branden Grace sits two shots back after a stellar 65, with Tom McKibbin another stroke behind. Sunday's final round promises high-stakes drama as Rahm aims to cap off a strong start to his LIV campaign.
