Emma Raducanu is turning back the clock to reignite one of tennis's most magical partnerships. The British number one has reunited full-time with coach Andrew Richardson—the man who guided her to that fairytale US Open title as an unseeded teenager in 2021.

Currently in Strasbourg preparing for the WTA clay-court event, Raducanu and Richardson are officially working together again. This isn't just a temporary arrangement either; the pair have agreed to a long-term partnership, with the 52-year-old Briton set to be in her corner at Wimbledon and beyond.

It's a reunion that brings a sense of familiarity and trust. Raducanu first linked up with Richardson earlier this month at the Ferrer Academy in Spain, where he's been the tennis director for years. "I'm grateful to have reconnected with someone who has known me for over a decade now," she told BBC Sport. "Looking forward to building together one iteration at a time."

Their history is nothing short of extraordinary. With Richardson in her coaching box, an 18-year-old Raducanu made history by winning the US Open as a qualifier without dropping a single set—a feat that stunned the sporting world.

Now 23, Raducanu is set to return to competitive action in Strasbourg after a 10-week break. Her last match was a third-round loss to American Amanda Anisimova at Indian Wells on March 8, following a post-viral infection that kept her off the tour. She's been granted a wildcard for the Strasbourg event, hoping to gain valuable match practice before the French Open begins on May 24.

Currently ranked 37th in the world, Raducanu will likely miss out on a top-32 seeded position at Roland Garros. But with her former mentor back in her corner, there's a renewed sense of optimism. After parting ways with Richardson following her US Open triumph, and then splitting with Francis Roig after a second-round exit at the Australian Open in January, Raducanu is finally settling into a stable coaching setup again.

For fans of the game—and those who love a good comeback story—this reunion has all the makings of something special.
