Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has shared his admiration for Arsenal and Mikel Arteta, setting the stage for a blockbuster Champions League final between the two European giants.

The French champions secured their spot in the final after a tense 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich in the semi-final second leg, advancing 6-5 on aggregate. Arsenal had already punched their ticket the previous day, edging past Atletico Madrid 2-1 on aggregate to set up a fourth meeting between the sides in two seasons.

This clash carries extra weight for the Gunners, who defeated PSG in last season's League Phase only to suffer a painful knockout-stage exit at the hands of the same opponents. Now, they'll have a shot at redemption in Budapest on May 30th.

Speaking after his team's dramatic win, Enrique was full of praise for his former teammate. "I appreciate Mikelito Arteta," he said. "We used to be teammates when we were kids, and he has done a great job at Arsenal. It will be a difficult, hard game, but we believe in our football style."

The PSG boss didn't hold back in his assessment of Arsenal's season. "Arsenal are one of the best teams this season. What they have done throughout the season has been incredible. They are still playing for the Premier League and they are in the Champions League final. That's something we need to appreciate. But I have so much confidence in my team, and I think it's important to value them."

PSG's path to the final has been anything but straightforward. After a narrow 5-4 aggregate win over Monaco, they demolished Chelsea 8-2 and swept past Liverpool 4-0 before edging Bayern in a thriller. Enrique's side has no trouble finding the net, but defensive solidity remains a concern—they've kept just five clean sheets compared to Arsenal's nine, and conceded 22 goals to the Gunners' six (two of which came with backup goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga in goal).

With contrasting styles and plenty of history between the two clubs, this final promises to be an electrifying showdown. Arsenal fans will be counting down the days until May 30th, hoping their team can finally get one over on the Parisians when it matters most.
