The Bundesliga is back, and while this matchup might look one-sided on paper, don't be fooled—there's plenty of drama in store when reigning champions Bayern Munich host a desperate Heidenheim side on matchday 32.

Motivation levels couldn't be more different. Bayern have already secured the title and are free to rotate heavily, with one eye firmly on their Champions League second leg against Paris Saint-Germain. We saw this approach last week when a much-changed Bayern side found themselves 3-0 down at halftime against Mainz, only for the stars to come off the bench and rescue the game. A similar script could play out here—and that's exactly what makes this clash so intriguing.

Bayern's incredible depth means their "second string" is still a formidable outfit, but any hint of complacency could be fatal. That's where Heidenheim come in. Last week's vital 2-0 win over St. Pauli breathed new life into what looked like a doomed survival campaign. Still four points adrift of the relegation playoff spot with just three games remaining, they need near-perfect results—and probably a favor or two from elsewhere—to climb to 16th place.

The first meeting between these sides this season ended in a commanding 4-0 win for Bayern, but the context now tells a very different story. Keep an eye on Budu Zivzivadze: the striker who once dominated the 2. Bundesliga clearly has no intention of going back down. With goals in his last three games, he's the main reason Heidenheim are still fighting for survival.

For Bayern, Serge Gnabry, Raphael Guerreiro, and youngsters Karl and Bischof are all set to miss out—a blow for manager Vincent Kompany, who would have loved their experience to help seal the win. Apart from those absentees, the entire first-team squad is available, but expect a heavily rotated starting eleven with plenty of youth talent getting a chance to shine.

Frank Schmidt's Heidenheim will have to cope without the injured Conteh, but with survival on the line, expect nothing less than a full-blooded battle from the visitors.
