Barcelona are leaving no stone unturned in their search for a new centre-forward, scouring the market for every possible profile regardless of age or experience. With a new signing in that position considered essential, the Catalan giants have set their sights on a range of targets—from blockbuster names to budget-friendly gems.
Julian Alvarez currently stands as their dream signing, with plans to open negotiations with Atletico Madrid after the season ends. But the club is also keeping a close eye on more cost-effective options, and Bournemouth's teenage sensation Eli Junior Kroupi has quickly emerged as a prime candidate.
The 19-year-old has taken the Premier League by storm this season, netting 12 goals in just 19 starts. His breakout campaign has turned heads across Europe, but any potential move is complicated by a contract that runs until 2030. Bournemouth have made their stance crystal clear.
In a recent interview, Bournemouth's executive director Tiago Pinto shut down any speculation about Kroupi's departure. "Junior Kroupi will not leave Bournemouth," Pinto stated firmly. "His contract is still more than four years long, there is no termination clause, and he will not go anywhere."
When pressed on whether a massive offer from Barcelona or Liverpool could change their minds, Pinto was unequivocal. "We will not sell Kroupi even if Barcelona or Liverpool offer €100 million. That's completely ruled out."
With the executive director putting his foot down so decisively, Barcelona's hopes of signing the teenager this summer have taken a major hit. While they'll keep Kroupi on their radar, it's clear they'll need to explore other avenues to bolster their attacking options.
