POLSON – It was a clean sweep for the host Pirates at the Lake County Track Meet on Thursday, as Polson claimed both the boys' and girls' team titles at the Polson Athletic Complex.

The Polson boys put on a dominant display, racking up 211 points to easily outpace Ronan (122.5) and Arlee (80). The girls were even more impressive, storming to 246 points, with Charlo finishing a distant second at 104 and Ronan taking third with 61.

Luke Horner was the star for the Polson boys, sprinting to victories in the 100, 200, and 400 meters. He wasn't alone in the spotlight—David DiGiallonardo swept the distance events, winning the 800, 1600, and 3200 meters to give the Pirates a formidable one-two punch.

Ronan's Jhett McDonald showed his versatility by winning both hurdle races, while teammate Siouxpixm Qualtier soared to victory in the pole vault. Charlo's Karson Cox demonstrated his strength in the throws, sweeping the discus and javelin events.

On the girls' side, Polson's Amelia Stene doubled up with wins in the 100 and 400 meters, Rosie Lies claimed the 200, and Quinn Delaney dominated the distance races. Freshman Brook Cahoon of Charlo turned heads by winning both hurdle events and the high jump, signaling a bright future in the sport.

The Pirates also showcased their depth in the relays, winning both girls' relays and the boys' 4x100 and 4x400 relays.
