The New England Patriots parted ways with director of scouting projects Marshall Oium. This was reported by KPRC2’s Aaron Wilson on Tuesday.
Oium served in the director of scouting projects role from 2025-2026. Prior to that, he was the director of football strategy in 2024 and assistant director of scouting in 2023. He also served a role as a pro scout for the Patriots from 2018-2022.
Before working at the Patriots, Oium was with the Cleveland Browns from 2014-2018, serving in various scouting roles for the team, including as a pro scout and scouting assistant. This was his first time working under a Mike Vrabel-led staff.

Vrabel has worked meticulously in reshaping the Patriots' front office since his arrival.
So any move involving a high-ranking official like Oium isn't taken lightly. With that said, change in the NFL is inevitable, and even after a Super Bowl appearance, the Patriots aren't immune to that reality.
