The New England Patriots are already making roster changes following the conclusion of the 2026 NFL Draft, releasing two players on Monday.
New England decided to part ways with tight end Marshall Lang and has also released wide receiver John Jiles.
Jiles signed as an undrafted free agent in 2024 with the New York Giants and then joined the Patriots after being waived in August of that same year. He spent two seasons on the Patriots' practice squad.
Even though the Patriots didn't add a receiver during the 2026 Draft, they did sign a handful of them as undrafted free agents, bringing four on board as of Monday.
New England might also be gearing up to pursue Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown in a trade that could take place after June 1. This means there may be additional wide receivers the Patriots could consider moving to make room for Brown in the coming months.
It will be interesting to see how the New England roster shapes up this season, since many players last season made a name for themselves and could be on the chopping block with new key additions.
