The ongoing feud between Dana White and Eddie Hearn has continued to escalate in recent months, following White’s move into boxing with the launch of Zuffa Boxing.

Both promoters have exchanged sharp comments in the media, with tensions rising as they position themselves on opposite sides of the boxing landscape. The situation has even led to speculation about a potential fight between them.

While that idea remains unlikely, it has not stopped fighters from weighing in. UFC lightweight Paddy Pimblett is the latest to offer his view, delivering both support and criticism in equal measure.

Pimblett made it clear where his loyalty lies, backing White in any hypothetical boxing bout with Hearn, despite recognising the unusual nature of the situation.

He told iFL TV: “It’s not going to happen, Dana’s not going to box Eddie, you know what I mean? I think it’s a bit of a mad situation. Eddie’s got to reach on him, but Dana’s my boss, lad, I’m backing Dana. Dana’s going to spark him out.”

However, the Liverpool fighter also pointed out what he sees as a major contradiction in the sport’s financial structure.

“The funniest thing about it all is, if they fought each other, they’d get paid well more than what the fighters are getting paid. $30 million each, no boxer is getting that under Eddie Hearn, no UFC fighters getting that under Dana.

“They’d earn more dough than their fighters fighting, you know what I mean? That’s the funniest thing about it. And they’ve both got nothing on the pair on any fighter they’ve got, but you know, that’s just the way the world works,” he said.

‘The Baddy’ continued by downplaying their row and predicting they will soon settle things without any fight.

“They’re having a little bit of a mad spath at the minute, it’s very teenage, girlish, but you know, they’ll get over it, they’re both going to end up being sweet. So we crack on for now,” Pimblett concluded.

Despite ongoing exchanges, a fight between the two promoters appears improbable.

White has repeatedly stated he is too old to pursue that kind of contest, distancing himself from the idea.

Hearn reignited the discussion last weekend by calling him the UFC boss again, keeping the narrative alive.

Even so, White did not signal any change in stance during the UFC Winnipeg post-fight press conference.
