The Austin Packers track and field teams faced a tough field at the Section 1AAA True Team Meet in Owatonna on Tuesday, with both the boys' and girls' squads finishing 10th out of 10 teams. Despite the team results, individual athletes delivered standout performances that showcased their talent and determination.
For the boys' team, Triumph Ogbeide soared to a second-place finish in the high jump, while Myles Taylor leaped to fifth in the triple jump, adding valuable points for the Packers. On the girls' side, Praise Ogbeide demonstrated her speed and agility by taking second in the 100-meter hurdles, and Callie McRae followed closely with a strong third-place showing in the 300-meter hurdles.
In the distance events, Lance Keenan clocked a solid ninth-place finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:04.50, and Noah Elizo crossed the line in 12th at 2:06.18, both runners pushing through a competitive field.
These individual highlights prove that even in a tough team finish, the Packers have athletes with the drive and skill to compete at a high level—qualities that translate perfectly to the track and beyond.
