Get ready, football fans. The future of the sport is hitting the big screen. Overtime's elite 7-on-7 football league, OT7, has just secured a major television deal, bringing its high-flying, prospect-packed action directly to your living room.
In a significant move for high school football coverage, NBC Sports announced a new partnership with Overtime and the Navy All-American Bowl this Thursday. This collaboration marks a powerful fusion of media and grassroots football, connecting a network with over two decades of All-American Bowl history to the nation's premier 7v7 proving ground.
This spring, the partnership kicks into high gear. NBC Sports will promote OT7's climactic playoff and championship weekend, culminating with select games being broadcast live on NBC and Peacock on June 13-14 at 2 p.m. ET. The league, which is already in full swing this spring, showcases the most talented high school prospects from the 2027, 2028, and 2029 classes, offering an unprecedented early look at tomorrow's college football stars.
The credibility of OT7 is undeniable, serving as a launchpad for current collegiate phenoms. Notable alumni include Ohio State All-American wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, Oregon quarterback and projected 2027 first-rounder Dante Moore, and Michigan's star freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood. This new TV deal ensures the next generation of elite talent will get their moment in the national spotlight.
Beyond the broadcast, the alliance is a multi-faceted endeavor. The two companies will also collaborate during the prestigious All-American Bowl Week in January and work together on original content creation, deepening the connection between these premier football properties.
"We don't think about this as a single broadcast event," said Marc Kohn, Overtime’s President of Content and Media. "We think about it as the beginning of a long-term relationship... Our job now is to make the fan experience so compelling they become lifelong fans."
The on-field product is as star-studded as it gets. This season's OT7 coaching rosters are loaded with big-name NFL veterans, providing mentorship and drawing even more eyes to the competition. Coaching staffs feature legends and current stars like Aaron Donald (AD 2Tenths), Ja’Marr Chase (Team Uno), Cam Newton (C1N), Puka Nacua (Team Puka), and Robert Griffin III (RG3).
On the field, the talent is equally impressive, headlined by the nation's top recruits. The rosters are filled with future college standouts, including several prospects ranked in the top 32 of the 2027 class by Rivals, such as five-star quarterback Will Mencl, the current No. 1 QB in the country. It's must-watch football for anyone who loves tracking the sport's rising stars.
