The Ducks announced a pair of Friday games on the schedule this season, including a November trip to the Midwest.

Spring practices have wrapped up, and that means it's time to turn our attention to the fall. The Oregon Ducks already have a challenging schedule lined up, but now we know two games will break from the traditional Saturday routine. The Ducks announced they'll play a pair of Friday night contests in 2026, offering fans a midweek twist on game day.

In Week 3, Oregon will host Portland State at Autzen Stadium on Friday, September 18. Then, in a late-season showdown, the Ducks travel to Michigan State for a Friday night clash on November 20, which will air on FOX. Game times for both will be announced later.

Friday games are nothing new for Oregon. Last season, the Ducks dominated Minnesota 42-13 in a Friday night home game. And the last time they faced Michigan State, it was also a Friday affair in Eugene back in 2024, where Oregon cruised to a 31-10 victory behind Dillon Gabriel's three total touchdowns and Jordan James' 166 rushing yards and a score.

Friday games come with their own set of challenges and perks. With only one bye week this season, the coaching staff will have to manage the schedule carefully. The home game against Portland State follows a tough road trip to face a much-improved Oklahoma State team, meaning less recovery time after a physical battle. On the flip side, playing on Friday gives the Ducks an extra day of rest before they head to USC to open Big Ten play the following week.

The trip to East Lansing could be even trickier. After visiting the Trojans, Oregon has its only bye week, but that means the Ducks will play eight straight games to close the regular season. The Michigan State game is the seventh of that stretch, sandwiched between some of the most critical matchups on the schedule. Oregon travels to Ohio State and then hosts Michigan in consecutive weeks to start November—arguably the most physical games of the year. Playing the Spartans just days after that gauntlet will test the Ducks' depth and resilience.

For fans, Friday night football means a different kind of energy under the lights. Whether you're gearing up for a home game at Autzen or planning a road trip to the Midwest, it's time to mark those calendars and get your game-day gear ready.
