In a thrilling display of power hitting, the No. 17 Ole Miss Rebels snapped their four-game losing streak with an emphatic 11-4 victory over No. 22 Arkansas at Baum-Walker Stadium. The win not only evened the weekend series but also showcased the Rebels' explosive offense in a crucial SEC showdown.

The game exploded in the first inning when senior designated hitter Collin Reuter launched a grand slam, turning a bases-loaded situation into a five-run rally. The tone was set early, and Ole Miss never looked back. Junior catcher Austin Fawley added to the fireworks with two solo home runs—a 442-foot blast in the fourth inning and another in the sixth—marking his third homer in as many days.

On the mound, sophomore starter Cade Townsend delivered a solid performance, allowing just two earned runs over 5 2/3 innings while striking out five and walking only one. Arkansas finally broke through with two outs in the sixth when Maika Niu hit a two-run homer, but junior reliever Hudson Calhoun entered and stranded the bases loaded to preserve the lead.

The Razorbacks attempted a comeback in the seventh, as senior first baseman Will Furniss crushed a two-run home run—his sixth of the season and 30th of his career. Arkansas' Kuhio Aloy and Camden Kozeal added solo shots in the seventh and eighth innings, respectively, but the Rebels' offense kept the pressure on. Reuter and sophomore outfielder Hayden Federico each drove in runs in the ninth, with Federico, Fawley, and Reuter all finishing with three hits apiece.

Sophomore Walker Hooks closed the game with 1 2/3 scoreless innings, sealing the much-needed victory for Ole Miss (32-16, 12-11 SEC). The Rebels will look to take the series in Sunday's rubber match at 2 p.m., broadcast on SEC Network—a game that could prove pivotal in their postseason push.
