Back-up wing Jeff Nwankwo will enter the transfer portal after two seasons with the Sooners.

The Oklahoma Sooners men's basketball program has seen its first departure via the transfer portal this offseason, with backup wing Jeff Nwankwo announcing his decision to enter. This move comes as the team begins its roster reshuffle following the conclusion of the 2025-26 campaign.

Nwankwo, who joined the Sooners from Cowley College ahead of the 2024-25 season, saw his role diminish down the stretch. The Putnam City North product did not appear in a game after February 18th and was absent from the team's trip to Las Vegas for The Crown postseason tournament finals. Over 24 appearances this season, he averaged 2.9 points and 2.4 rebounds in just over 11 minutes per game.

His exit marks the beginning of a significant turnover for Porter Moser's squad. The Sooners are also losing key contributors Tae Davis, Mohamed Wague, and Nijel Pack to exhausted eligibility, creating multiple holes in the lineup. The focus now shifts to the portal and incoming talent, like four-star forward Gage Mayfield, to rebuild a roster that finished 21-16 (7-11 SEC) and missed the NCAA Tournament.

For players navigating these transitions, having reliable, high-performance gear is essential. Whether it's a new team or a new season, being game-ready starts with the right equipment.
