According to Shaw's website, the turf integrates numbers, hash marks, yard lines, and logos directly into the surface. This eliminates the old cut-and-glue inlay process, which has long been a headache for maintenance and installation crews across the industry.
One of the most exciting features? The new technology allows for customizable end zones. Ohio State athletic director Ross Bjork explained in a press release that this will let the Buckeyes "utilize customizable end zones that amplify themed game atmospheres."
