The 2025/26 La Liga season is winding down, and with the champions already crowned, the league has unveiled its official Team of the Season—featuring a strong Real Madrid contingent. A total of four Los Blancos stars have earned spots in the 19-man squad, which includes a starting XI and eight substitutes.
Leading the charge are Kylian Mbappé, Aurélien Tchouaméni, and Federico Valverde, all named in the first XI. Thibaut Courtois rounds out the Madrid representation as a substitute. Mbappé's selection is no surprise—despite battling injuries, the French superstar leads La Liga in scoring with 24 goals in 28 matches, adding four assists to his tally.
Tchouaméni and Valverde have been pillars of consistency for Real Madrid this season, even after navigating a major off-field controversy last week. Valverde's versatility has been key—shifting between central midfield, the right flank, and even right-back—he's contributed five goals and eight assists across 32 league appearances. Tchouaméni, meanwhile, has been an ever-present force in midfield, starting 31 La Liga games and scoring once, earning praise as one of the team's most reliable performers.
Courtois has also been outstanding between the posts, but he misses out on the starting XI spot to Barcelona's Joan Garcia, who has overtaken the Belgian in the race for the Zamora Trophy (awarded to the goalkeeper with the best goals-against record).
Notably absent from the squad are Vinícius Jr. and Jude Bellingham, while rising talent Arda Güler—who has shown flashes of brilliance—also failed to make the cut.
