The winter sports season in Northeast Wisconsin has officially wrapped, and the region's top high school athletes are being celebrated. The Northeast Wisconsin High School Sports Awards, presented by Piggly Wiggly, has just unveiled its impressive list of player of the year nominees for the winter season, honoring the standout performers who dominated the courts, mats, and rinks.

Mark your calendars for the main event! The winners for each sport will be revealed during a live show on June 17 at 7 p.m. in the iconic Lambeau Field Atrium. Adding to the excitement, Green Bay Packers safety Evan Williams will be on hand as the special guest speaker, offering inspiration from the professional ranks to these rising stars.

This prestigious ceremony, produced with the support of Cellcom, is the culmination of the entire school year. The winter nominees will join previously announced fall athletes and upcoming spring honorees for a night of recognition. Beyond the individual sport awards, the event will also crown the region's top overall boys and girls athletes, teams, and coach, and present a special Courage Award.

The awards show casts a wide net, celebrating the achievements of prep athletes, coaches, and teams from across the region, including Appleton, Green Bay, Stevens Point, Wausau, and beyond. It's a fantastic showcase of the dedication and talent thriving in Wisconsin's high school sports community.
