Top-ranked Nelly Korda cruised through Sunday's final round to win the Riviera Maya Open, capturing her 18th career LPGA triumph and second in as many weeks. It has still been an amazing start to the year for Korda, who captured last week's Chevron Championship and also won the season-opening LPGA Tournament of Champions.

Nelly Korda is making history look routine. The world's No. 1 golfer stormed to victory at the Riviera Maya Open on Sunday, capturing her 18th career LPGA title and second win in as many weeks. With a final-round 69, Korda finished at 17-under par, shattering the tournament's 72-hole record by five strokes.

This win marks Korda's third of the season and continues a tear that has golf fans buzzing. The 27-year-old American has finished in the top two in all six events she's played this year—a feat not seen since Annika Sorenstam's legendary 2001 campaign. Coming off her third major title at last week's Chevron Championship, Korda showed no signs of letting up on the sun-drenched fairways of El Camaleon in Playa del Carmen.

"I'm just enjoying myself and I love the competition," Korda said when asked if she's playing the best golf of her career. "I love traveling to places like Mexico, all over the world, and I'm just having fun. We always put in the same exact amount of work and you just never know. It's golf."

Her dominance was on full display Sunday. After an eagle on the par-five fifth hole and back-to-back birdies on six and seven, Korda stretched her lead to a commanding margin. She made only two bogeys all week—the last coming on the final hole, where she lost her tee shot but scrambled to sink a long bogey putt to seal the win. "On the last hole I was humbled by golf," she laughed. "I had a pretty smooth day and on the last hole it just kind of humbles you a little bit."

Thailand's Arpichaya Yubol fired a closing 70 to finish second at 15-under, while China's Liu Yu took third. American Brianna Do placed fourth, and Colombian amateur Maria Jose Marin rounded out the top five.

Korda's incredible run also includes wins at the season-opening LPGA Tournament of Champions and runner-up finishes at the LPGA Founders Cup, Ford Championship, and Aramco Championship. "You put in the work and sometimes it works out," she said. "I'm just grateful I have an amazing team that no matter through the ups and downs we've all stayed the same. We all are super motivated and just happy to be out here."

For fans watching at home—or dreaming of their own time on the course—Korda's relentless consistency is a reminder that the right gear and mindset can make all the difference. Whether you're chasing a personal best or just enjoying a sunny round, taking a page from the world No. 1's playbook never hurts.
