The Oklahoma Sooners are in the driver's seat in the SEC softball standings after sweeping the Georgia Bulldogs. Oklahoma got some help as the Tennessee Volunteers won a series against the Alabama Crimson Tide, who were previously tied for No. 1 in the standings with Oklahoma entering the weekend.

The SEC has six teams in the top-10 of the NFCA coaches poll. The conference is home to the nation's No. 1 team, Oklahoma, who is a powerhouse in softball. Beyond Oklahoma, No. 4 Alabama, No. 6 Florida, No. 7 Texas, No. 8 Tennessee and No. 10 Arkansas are all ranked in the top-10.

The Sooners are expected to repeat as regular season conference champions entering the final weekend of conference play. If No. 1 Oklahoma wins their final series against No. 14 Texas A&M, then they'll secure an SEC title.

Over the final weekend, No. 10 Arkansas will play No. 7 Texas in a top-10 clash. No. 6 Florida has an outside chance at earning a share of the SEC title and plays a three-game series against No. 17 Georgia. The SEC Tournament is scheduled to take place from May 5-9 in Lexington, Kentucky.
