The 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh was a smooth operation—except for one unforgettable, cringe-worthy moment that has now come with serious consequences.
YouTube prankster Fred Beyer thought he could crash the big stage and make a name for himself. During Day 2 of the draft, he boldly stormed the podium, attempted to announce himself as the Las Vegas Raiders' 67th overall pick, and even tried to call his own name into the mic. But the league wasn't having it. The microphone was cut instantly, and security wasted no time yanking him off the stage.
If Beyer was chasing his 15 minutes of fame, he got it—but at a steep price. After being questioned by NFL security and local police, he was escorted off the grounds and handed a lifetime ban from the league. That means no games, no events, no nothing. Ever. To make matters worse, Beyer admitted he created a fake credential at a local Staples store to pull off the stunt.
The NFL didn't mince words in its official letter to the YouTuber: "You are indefinitely banned from any NFL game or event. The ban is league-wide and will be enforced rigorously. Should you be found at any NFL game or event, law enforcement will be summoned and you will be arrested. We sincerely hope that you will take this opportunity to reflect on your actions."
Beyer, who boasts two million YouTube subscribers, likely thought he was pulling off a legendary flex for his audience. But the joke is on him. Trying to outsmart the NFL's security and legal team was never going to end well. Maybe this wake-up call will snap him back to reality—and next time, he'll think twice before trading his jersey for a fake credential.
