The Green Bay Packers are doing their homework on a potential first-round target, hosting Arizona State offensive tackle Max Iheanachor for a pre-draft visit. According to reports, Iheanachor has been a busy man, visiting a whopping 12 teams, which speaks volumes about his rising stock as the draft nears.

This visit carries significant weight for the Packers' draft strategy. Iheanachor is currently the 31st-ranked player on the consensus draft board, and he stands out as the highest-ranked prospect Green Bay has hosted this cycle. With most of their 30 allotted visits now reported, the next closest prospect is ranked 47th. This notable gap fuels speculation that Iheanachor could be a prime candidate if the Packers decide to trade up from their current spot at 41st overall to secure a cornerstone lineman.

Iheanachor's journey is as impressive as his physical profile. A latecomer to football who walked on at a junior college, he developed into an All-Big 12 right tackle at Arizona State. At the NFL Combine, he measured in at a prototypical 6'6" and 321 pounds with long 34-inch arms. He then turned heads by running a blazing 4.91-second 40-yard dash, showcasing rare athleticism for a man of his size.

The Packers' focus on Iheanachor is particularly telling given their other visits along the offensive line. The only other linemen they've hosted, Ohio State's Ethan Onianwa and Illinois' Josh Gesky, are projected as undrafted free agents. This stark contrast underscores that Iheanachor is in a completely different tier on their board, potentially positioning him as a key piece to bolster the protection for Jordan Love.
