Chicago moved up to the end of the sixth round by sending both #239 and #241 to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for pick #213. This trade showed once again that the last day of the 2026 NFL Draft isn’t going to follow conventional wisdom, but it could just mean that Brandon Beane continues not to care about draft charts.

Ultimately, the math says that Ryan Poles and Chicago paid less than half of the total cost they should have in order to move up (their two picks really should have only gotten them to #226). Still, in simpler terms they gave two 7th-rounders for a late 6th-rounder and they secured defensive tackle Jordan Van Den Berg, finally adding to the defensive line.

Unless Chicago gives up future capital, that should put a close to their 2026 NFL Draft with a bargain, so long as they chose the right guy.
