For New York Giants fans who were already planning their European travel, you can put the passports away—at least for now.
Despite swirling rumors and earlier reports suggesting otherwise, the Giants will not be taking their talents overseas in 2026. The NFL recently unveiled its full slate of international games for the upcoming season, and Big Blue is notably absent from the list. That means all 17 of their games will be played right here in the United States.
The speculation gained traction after the Giants were awarded international marketing rights in Germany as part of the NFL's Global Markets Program back in March 2024. With that five-year deal in place, many assumed a return trip to Munich was inevitable—especially with a Week 10 game scheduled in the Bavarian capital. But as it turns out, the Giants won't be boarding that flight.
This isn't completely unfamiliar territory for the team. The Giants actually played in Munich on November 10, 2024, in a memorable—if heartbreaking—20-17 overtime loss to the Carolina Panthers. For now, that remains their most recent international appearance.
So while the Giants won't be expanding their global footprint in 2026, fans can at least enjoy a full season of home games at MetLife Stadium and road trips across the U.S. For those still itching to rep Big Blue abroad, there's always the 2027 season to look forward to.
