Thursday night was a comedy of errors for the Pittsburgh Steelers and it was all caught on video. As the host city of the 2026 NFL Draft, the NFL world expected big things from the Steelers but we don't think this is what they meant. The Steelers got out maneuvered by the Philadelphia Eagles so Philly could land USC wide receiver Makai Lemon in the first round and they did it while Lemon was on the phone with Steelers General Manager Omar Khan.
But wait, it gets worse. A new video going around takes it a step further as we see Lemon talking to Khan from the green room and you see him look at his phone during the conversation, and literally asking Khan why Philly is calling him. When Lemon didn't answer, the Eagles called another number, a member of Lemon's group ran over and told him the Eagles were trading up for him and picking him now and he hangs up on Khan.

At this point, the Steelers were forced to swallow their pride, pivot and quickly make another pick after thinking they had their guy. The Steelers ended up settling for Arizona State offensive tackle Max Iheanachor. A player they would have never considered if Lemon had been there but suddenly became the guy they wanted all along to save face.
