New video footage has surfaced showing New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel and former NFL reporter Dianna Russini on a private boat outing in June 2021, adding another layer to their years-long dynamic that has recently come under intense scrutiny.

The footage, obtained by TMZ, captures the pair walking together on a dock before boarding a privately rented boat for a two-to-three-hour trip on Tennessee's Putnam County waters. At the time, Russini was visibly pregnant with her first child and working on a story about the Tennessee Titans—the team Vrabel was then coaching. She would give birth to her first son with husband Kevin Goldschmidt just two months later.

Both were dressed casually for the lakeside excursion. According to reports, Vrabel posed for photos with boat rental employees but specifically asked them not to share the images, saying he "wanted to enjoy a private weekend." Russini reportedly declined to be photographed at all.

This resurfaced video comes on the heels of a whirlwind of revelations about the 50-year-old coach and the 43-year-old journalist. Last month, photos emerged of the two holding hands and hugging at a luxury Arizona resort in March. That was followed by pictures appearing to show them kissing at a New York City tavern in March 2020—months before Russini married Goldschmidt, with whom she later welcomed a second son in October 2022. Vrabel has been married to his wife, Jen, since 1999, and the couple shares two sons.

Additional photos from 2024 also surfaced, showing the pair together at a casino. The mounting evidence has led to significant professional consequences: Russini resigned from her role at The Athletic, where she had been closely covering Vrabel's team, and has remained silent on the matter. The New York Times, which owns the sports outlet, is conducting an internal investigation.

Vrabel initially dismissed the allegations as "laughable," but as more evidence emerged, he addressed the situation directly with reporters ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, announcing he would skip part of the event. For fans watching this saga unfold, it's a reminder that even in the high-stakes world of professional football, personal lives can sometimes take unexpected turns off the field.
