Girona FC, the La Liga sensation that captured global attention with its stunning 2023/24 campaign, is expanding its reach across the Atlantic. The club has announced an exciting new football development program specifically designed for American players, marking a significant step in its international growth.

Forged through a partnership with the International Soccer Academy, a leader in high-performance pathways for American soccer talent, this initiative will offer players aged 18 and over a unique dual experience. Participants will combine immersive Spanish language studies with a full-time, integrated football training regimen at the club itself.

The program is designed for complete immersion. A select group of up to 22 players per season will train under Girona FC's own coaching methodology, utilizing the club's facilities and working alongside its academy structure. Their competitive pathway will see them form the new Girona FC "C" team, registered in the Catalan football system, and play a series of friendly matches to hone their skills in a real-world environment.

This move is about more than just player development; it's a cultural exchange. The core objective is to export Girona FC's distinctive values and football philosophy while offering international athletes an unparalleled experience within the club's sporting and community ecosystem. It also serves as a powerful tool for boosting the global profile of both the city and the club.

Echoing this vision, Girona FC's General Director, Ignasi Mas-Bagà, stated, "This agreement strengthens our commitment to training and the international projection of the Club. Offering international players the opportunity to learn our methodology and integrate into our sports reality is a way to extend Girona FC's values beyond our territory." He added, "This program allows us to open Girona to the world and enrich our environment with young people who come to learn, compete, and share their passion for football."

For aspiring American players dreaming of a European football education, Girona is now officially on the map, offering a direct pathway to learn from one of the game's most inspiring modern projects.
