No head coach on campus has done a better job than Simon Earnshaw, when you factor in the program he inherited and the funding he works with. NC State had one top-three ACC finish in its history prior to his arrival in 2015; NC State hasn’t finished lower than third in the ACC since 2018, a run of seven straight seasons (eight if you want to include the COVID-shortened 2020). Under his watch, NC State has won a doubles national title and played for a team national title.
