The college basketball offseason continues to reshape rosters, and Wake Forest has been hit with a significant departure. Junior forward Myles Colvin has entered the NCAA transfer portal, marking the seventh player from the Demon Deacons to seek a new home this offseason.

Colvin, who transferred to Wake Forest after two seasons at Purdue, was arguably the team's most impactful portal addition last year. The 6'5" guard/forward put together a career-best campaign, finishing second on the team in scoring with 11.6 points per game. He complemented that with 4.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.2 steals per contest, showcasing the two-way versatility that makes him a coveted asset.

While his shooting could be streaky, Colvin proved to be a legitimate deep threat, connecting on 36% of his three-point attempts. He had a flair for the dramatic, most notably sinking a buzzer-beating three-pointer to defeat Memphis in the Baha Mar Championship. His scoring outbursts were equally impressive, including 33-point and 32-point games where he shot a combined 14-for-16 from beyond the arc.

Losing an athletic, scoring wing who can defend multiple positions is a major setback for Wake Forest's rebuilding efforts. With Colvin's exit, Isaac Carr stands as the only significant contributor from this past season set to return. The coaching staff now faces the immense challenge of constructing an almost entirely new roster from the ground up as they look to compete in a rapidly evolving ACC landscape.
