If you're a Dallas Cowboys fan looking for a reason to tune into Indiana football this fall, here's a big one: the 2027 NFL Draft could bring a Hoosier to Big D.

We know, we know—the 2026 draft just wrapped up. But in the world of football, it's never too early to look ahead. Several major outlets have already released their "way-too-early" mock drafts for 2027, and while these projections are more educated guesses than guarantees, they offer a fascinating glimpse into where the Cowboys might be aiming to upgrade.

This time around, three different mock drafts have Dallas zeroing in on the same position from the same school. The Athletic, ESPN, and Sports Illustrated all predict the Cowboys will select a wide receiver from Indiana in the first round—and two of them agree on the exact name: Charlie Becker.

ESPN has the Cowboys grabbing Becker at No. 23 overall, a pick acquired from the Green Bay Packers in the Micah Parsons trade. Analyst Jordan Reid notes that a franchise-tagged George Pickens "could be too expensive to keep long-term," making a new WR2 to complement CeeDee Lamb a top priority for 2027.

"Becker became a go-to option toward the end of last season during Indiana's championship push," Reid writes. "He averaged 19.9 yards per catch in 2025, the seventh-best mark in the FBS. He's a former state champion hurdler, and that leaping ability is apparent on jump balls, as he makes tough catches look routine. He's inexperienced (eight career starts), but Becker has Round 1 potential if his upward trend continues."

Sports Illustrated's Daniel Flick agrees, slotting Becker at No. 26 overall. He highlights the receiver's 6-foot-4-inch frame—taller than any Cowboys wideout from last season—as just one of many selling points.

"Becker may have been Indiana's best receiver over the final stretch," Flick notes, praising his ability to win contested catches and stretch the field.

For Cowboys fans, the message is clear: keep an eye on Bloomington this fall. Whether you're scouting for fantasy, betting on college games, or just dreaming of draft day, Charlie Becker is a name worth knowing.
