Michigan State hockey will play in a massive non-conference matchup next season.

The Spartans will play college hockey power house North Dakota in a neutral site non-conference matchup from Austin, Texas on Halloween next season. The Fighting Hawks released their official 2026-27 schedule on Tuesday, which noted the matchup with the Spartans on October 31.

This game between Michigan State and North Dakota will be the 2026 U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame game. Faceoff time has not yet been revealed at this time.

There was a report from a few years ago of these two teams meeting in the Lone Star State but we were waiting for this to be finalized. Now, we know that it has and we have a massive non-conference Michigan State hockey game to look forward to on Halloween.
