Liverpool's rising stars Stefan Bajcetic and Jayden Danns face a pivotal summer, with trusted insider James Pearce revealing that loan moves are shaping up as the "most likely outcome" for both youngsters next season. For two academy talents whose development has been repeatedly derailed by injury setbacks, this update carries a bittersweet tone—promise tempered by patience.

Writing for The Athletic, Pearce outlined that Liverpool's immediate priority is simply getting Bajcetic and Danns fit enough to participate in pre-season training come July. "Then it's down to them to try to force their way into contention," he noted. However, the journalist acknowledged that a temporary exit currently feels inevitable. "Having missed so much football due to injuries, I'd say the most likely outcome is that they are both loaned out in 2026-27, but nothing is set in stone."

From Liverpool's perspective, this cautious approach makes perfect sense. Neither player has been able to build any sustained rhythm physically, and for Bajcetic in particular, the mounting absences are becoming deeply concerning. The Spanish midfielder hasn't featured for the Reds in over two years, with unsuccessful loan spells at Red Bull Salzburg and Las Palmas followed by hamstring surgery—and then another setback. "He was due back for the second half of this season but suffered a setback in his recovery and is still doing rehab," Pearce confirmed, echoing earlier reports that Bajcetic's latest hamstring issue had completely derailed hopes of another competitive loan move.

Meanwhile, Liverpool-born striker Jayden Danns managed just one senior appearance this season, featuring briefly in the Carabao Cup. For both players, the road ahead is about rebuilding fitness and confidence before they can truly stake their claim at Anfield. As the summer transfer window approaches, all eyes will be on whether these two promising talents can finally get the consistent game time they so desperately need.
