Liam Morrison is finally showing Aberdeen fans what he's made of—and it's been worth the wait. The 23-year-old defender, on loan from Queens Park Rangers, admits his Pittodrie career got off to a "tough" start, but now he's thriving in the heart of the Dons' defense.

Morrison arrived in January with little match fitness, having not played for over a month before his debut. But fast forward to now, and he's become a mainstay. He's set to make his sixth consecutive start in Friday night's clash against Livingston, a testament to his growing influence on the team.

"In the beginning it was tough, I am not going to hide away from that," Morrison said. "I was coming back from an injury, I hadn't played in a while, it was a new league. But I think over the past three or four games I have done pretty well. I am feeling great now."

The defender's resilience mirrors the team's recent turnaround. After being written off by many, Aberdeen have strung together back-to-back league wins for the first time since December, and kept consecutive clean sheets for the first time since November. Morrison credits the squad's togetherness for the resurgence.

"There is a real togetherness in the camp because a lot of people had written us off and were expecting us to be down there in that 11th position," he added. "We have showed what we can do over the past couple of weeks. We just need to keep building on that and finish the season strongly."

With head coach Stephen Robinson confirming the club is exploring options to bring Morrison back for next season, the defender remains focused on the present. "To be honest I have not given it any thought. My full focus is just finishing this season off as strongly as possible and we can take it from there in the summer."

As Morrison puts it, "When you are winning it is the best sport in the world, but when you are losing it is the worst." Right now, it's all smiles at Pittodrie—and Morrison is at the center of it all.
