At BYU, Davis stepped into a starting role, appearing in all 32 games for the Cougars. Davis's path hasn't been without its bumps. In November, he was cited for marijuana possession and driving under the influence following a car crash. As a result, he served a three-game suspension. However, recent developments have cleared the air. According to his attorney, Danny Frazier, the charges were dropped due to lack of evidence. "The reasoning was that by Utah law, they didn't have evidence of a DUI," Frazier told the Deseret News. "There was no impairing substance in his system, nothing under Utah law that's considered an impairing substance."
With Davis's commitment, Missouri now has four transfer portal additions this offseason. They're also welcoming three freshmen, including two ranked inside the top 20 of the 2026 class.
